Abstract

This paper aims at shedding light on one of the books of
commentaries on the Hadith, namely Minhat ul-Bari bi Sharhi
Saheeh il-Bukhari (The Gift of God in Explaining Sahih al-
Bukhari) and exploring the rhetorical aspects employed by the
commentator in his book regarding the three types of metaphor:
the conceit, implicit and explicit metaphor. The paper also tries
to compare his views with his predecessors and followers and to
show his rhetorical points of strength..
