Abstract
This paper is mainly concerned with the traits of the women of Paradise as they recurred in the Qur’anic ayas (Verses). These traits are described literally and metaphorically. The study focuses on the rhetoric phase behind using such merits in different vocabulary and expressions ranging from similes to metaphors. The study looks for the secret behind this diversity in use which enables such vocabulary and expressions to perform their purposes adequately. This requires the study to reach for their entomology and focus on the context in which they are used. This has led to the conclusion that they are used accurately according to the meaning required in each context.
