Abstract

This research dealt with one of the topics of the types of lamentation in the books of enthusiasm, which occupied a great place among other purposes of poetry. It kept pace with the development that occurred in Arabic poetry and had a role in conveying the course of events throughout the ages as it is the only means capable of conveying tragedies and suffering when it comes to studying lamentation as a purpose. One of the original purposes that explains the poet’s approach and highlights the types of laments and elegies and the qualities of praise given to them.
