Abstract

This paper is an attempt to explore parody in prose letters by
examining three writers: Al-Qadhi Al-Fadhil, Ibn ul-Atheer, and
Al-Imad ul-Asfahani. The study tries to explore the influence of Al-
Qadhi il-Fadhil style on Ibn ul-Atheer and Al-Asfahani ecause both
of them followed Al-Fadil's style in composition whether in the
opening lines or in the body of the letter. The study proves that
Al-Qadi Al-Fathil was a distinguished pioneer while Al-Ima was an
imitator of his style. On the other hand, Ibn ul-Atheer also imitated
Al-Qathi Al-Fadhil with slight differencre.
