Abstract

The importance of this research stems from the principle of interest
in the heritage of the Arabic language, especially in the late ages,
which was a link between the outstanding masterpieces of clasical
literature with the eleventh century AH. The essence of the attention
is based on two prominent scholars, the first is Imam Ibn al-Majradi,
known for his great efforts in language and for his poem "Nadhm ul-
Mijradiyah". The second is (Ybork) or (Ibork) nicknamed Al-
Semalali, who explained this poem with extensive commentaries that
help the reader to understand what is meant by the original text. This
paper, therefore, is an attempt to shed light on the linguistic thinking
of that era, through examining this work and to attract the attention to
the western countries of the Arab Homelend, to encourage researchers,
to do further studies related to the scholars of Arabic language.
